Blessed Believer
Blessed to be a Blessing
Feeling blessed is achieved by having an intimate, spiritual relationship with God, unshakeable faith and confident knowledge of God's grace.
Each day that we can treat others with respect, enjoy helping people, satisfaction in being generous and patient with difficult situations, we are living blessed.
Genesis 12:2-3 ESV teaches that God blesses people so they will bless others,
and that "all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
Proverbs 11:25 ESV emphasizes "whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered."
It is not that we should give in order to receive, or care for others in order
to be cared for, but God reminds man that there is a benefit inherent in being
unselfish, generous, loving and caring. Man and woman, in our sinful state,
will not automatically be charitable, selfless and beneficent.
Indeed, due to the falling which occurred in the Garden, we are born
to be motivated to help only ourselves, without knowing God.

For you, my brothers and sisters, were called to freedom; only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another. 14 For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit]."
Galatians 5: 13-14 ~ Amplified Bible
